Cross Fit Extreme - again

Today it was legs again. Good workout but felt a bit sluggish from the wild game feast that we went to last night. Oh well.

Tomorrow I shall run. Don't know if it will be on the treadmill or at the arena. Maybe I will be daring and try to run outside. If it is as nice as it was today (although not as slick) I could do it.

On a side note: My calves have been super super tight. I am going to have to figure out how to get them stretched before this becomes a bigger problem.

The weather haunts me

I have good intentions but the weather doesn't seem to want to let them happen. In the Spring, Summer, and Fall I am able to just get up and run outside and be done. In the winter I have to schedule my running around when Young Arena is open or I have to run on the treadmill.

I guess this is my way of saying I only ran 2 miles this week. I didn't work out at all this weekend. However I did chase my 16 month old a lot.

Still hate the treadmill


Yup its true. I really am not fond of the treadmill. However I did run 2 miles on it today. I thought about running at young arena but was unable to work out the logistics. So it had to be the treadmill. But at least I did 2 miles. Now I need to run 4 more miles before the end of the week. More if possible.

Sad Face


I didn't get to run today or even exercise at all. My meeting was a LONG one. The best part of the meeting is that we were walking throughout a facility which means I was walking a lot rather than being stuck at a desk. So my legs/bum got stretched and loosened and feel pretty darn good rather than stiff and sore.

Tomorrow we have another cross fit extreme class.

Cross Fit Extreme

Today was butt class at the Y. It will be interesting to see how I feel tomorrow. We did this same class last Monday and I was unable to properly walk until Friday. But that just means that I was working muscles that I don't use enough... Right?!

Tomorrow I am hoping to run 3 miles but we will have to see how the day goes because I have an out of town meeting.

I'm Back!


Its 2011 and now it is time to start training for my second 1/2 marathon. I am not real sure which one I am going to do since I am not real sure what my schedule is but the training is beginning.

My goals for the year in addition to the 1/2 are the following:

1. No matter what my week is like run a minimum of 6 miles per week.

2. Run the half plus 5 races. I did that many last year so I figure its a goal that is easy to reach. I would like to do a variety of distances but we will have to see what is available and works with my schedule.

So how am I doing so far on the 8th of January?

Well I bought new shoes - featured above. Don't they look fast? I think they completely match my personality. They have gotten me in the right training mindset because I want to show them off.

I have not had the best week of working out but I have gotten 5 miles in 2 sessions. I plan to run again tomorrow to ensure I get my 6 miles.
